Tofu ya Ukai

I had the dinner with my co-workers and my generous boss. My boss took us to the very famous resturant " Tofu ya Ukai" at Shiba, Tokyo. I have seen this resturants on TV and manazine many times, but it was the first time to have a meal there. I don't think I can afford it by myself.

All the buildings are so impressive, and the garden is so pretty.
This is the room we had the dinner. There is a big window besides the table, so we could see the courtyard while we were eating..

Here is the today's menu!
Grilled bumboo shoot and Octopus, Porgy's Sushi(it is under the cherry leaf), and "Mozuku"seaweed with vinegar.
Broiled deep-fried bean curd with Miso, and Atsuyaki Tamago(Layard Omelette) with Daikon radish
"Sashimi"
Clam with "Yuba" (bean curd skin) and sea urchin.
This "Tofu" is the main of the dinner.
We could choose one from the two choices. We had the "Okina-Tofu" which was served with the thin sliced seeweed in the soup
Grilled "Yamame" fish
Bamboo shoots rice and miso soup

All the foods were pretty good. I feel the atmosphere made my dinner more delicious than I thought. I mean if I eat the same dinner at a local restaurant, maybe I didn't think it is impressive that much. This restaurant is the worth to go. It is just lovely. Their service was perfect. I want to have a lunch there, if I have a chance. ( I can afford the lunch :P)
