Snoopy Museum, Tokyo

On April 23rd, the first Snoopy Museum was opened in Tokyo outside of US. The exhibits were from the Charles M. Schulz Museum in Santa Rosa, California.

They are all Snoopy. The very first Snoopy, the appearance looks different from the one I know. His appearance changed gradually. Right one could be the oldest and the left one is the present Snoopy we all know now!

Penuts, the first publication was published in 1953.
Can you see Snoopy? It's very different from now....it's a dog!

The picture is created by different comic strips.

Admission ticket.
The design seems different for each.

It's not allowed to take a picture in the first exhibition room (Original comic strips are exhibit), but we are all allowed to take a picture in the second room..

The exhibits will change every 6 months. The opening exhibition is "My favorite Peanuts".

You can buy a ticket the day you visit, but the museum recommend you to purchase a ticket in advance thru the internet. The admission time is decided and they limited the visitor who can enter the museum at the time. The admission time starts from 10:00 AM and the last one is from 6:00 PM. Once you enter the museum, you can stay there as much as you want.

The exhibits are not many... I finished to see all of them in one hour.

There are museum shop " Brown Store" and the cafe " Cafe Blanket". I wanted to stop by the cafe, but I saw too many people were waiting in a long line...It seems it would take more than a hour to get a seat... I just stopped by the museum shop and got some souvenir for my friend and myself.

I used to have many Snoopy, but these are the only things I could find at my parents home. My mother kept the handkerchief I used when I was a kid. The color is faded...but I remember these were my favorite. (We use handkerchief since child, and most of them are petty fancy.)
